• Basic information

  Interested participants are to obtain approval from their line managers and to register by 18.12.2024.

  • Dates: Week of 10.-14.03.2025.
  • Location: Hotel Mövenpick, Samarkand, Uzbekistan (including a field visit). Direct flights from Dubaï, Istanbul. Indirect flights through Tashkent from Bangkok and Dehli, followed by a train from Tashkent to Smarkand (2.5 to 3.5 hours).
  • Visa: please follow here the process relevant for your country. In case of problem, contact the organising committee.
  • Main focus: Locally-led development in the context of shrinking civic space in Asia, in combination with governance & cluster green.
  • Programme: Check the tentative programme here. To be updated once the expectations/contributions known through the registrations and preparatory webinar done (see below).
  • Participants expected: A good mix of relevant national and international SDC staff working on the diverse mentioned themes from all cooperation offices in Asia (max. two persons per representation).
  • Costs: Transportation to Uzbekistan, accommodation and food allowances are to be covered by the global budgets of the sending representations.
  • What next: Online webinar in January 2025 to exchange with the participants on their understanding of LLD and expectations/contributions. More information to follow once registrations completed.
